I was going to take Champix top quit smoking but on a whim decided to see what it said on the net about it. I see where people are warning about long term and serious side effects. Is it safe to use or not is really what I’d like to know?

Quitting smoking is the number one thing anyone can do to improve his or her health.
To answer your question Canada, and several European countries have approved Champix for use and thousands of people have quit smoking using Champix since it became available last year.
In the United States the same product is called Chantix. Like any drug there are side effects that we must watch for that is why it is important that one take this drug under the care of a health professional.
I would also recommend that you visit the Varenicline (marketed as Chantix) Information site for further advice and counseling while taking this drug.
