My husband has experienced horrible psychiatric side effects after taking Chantix. I love him but I had to leave him because he was beating me and I couldn’t take it anymore. He wasn’t sleeping and just acting odd. He was driving like a raving manic and taking risks that I had never seen him do in the 14 years we have been married. It has been months since he stopped taking the medication but his condition hasn’t improved much. He doesn’t think anything is wrong with him so he doesn’t want to go to get help. I am at my wit’s end and don’t know what to do to get him help. He has lost at least 40 lbs and looks like his is dying.
