Chantix vs Dianicline Quit Smoking Drugs

Chantix (varenicline) is a smoking cessation pill developed by Pfizer. It a non-nicotine based drug that simulates nicotine's effect on the brain and decreases the urge to smoke. In head to head studies Chantix was found to be over 44% more effective than Zyban (buproprion) as a quit smoking aid. Sanofi-Aventis is developing dianicline, a very similar drug to Chantix that is currently in phase IV trials.
